As a documentarian, Brent believes strongly in a “boots on the ground, hands in the dirt” approach, where both compelling stories live, as well as creative solutions to complex problems. As an example of this, he is proud to have served both his country and community as an AmeriCorps member, and continues to carry that commitment with him, which led to opportunities to use his passion for documentary film and photography in service to the National Parks.

‍His body of work has included collaborations with businesses, non-profits and government agencies including PBS, National Geographic, U.S. Forest Service, Amazon, YouTube, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Warner Bros. Discovery, FOX Sports, Activision, Outside TV, Netflix, Lionsgate, SyFy, Hulu, Zumba, XBOX, Sony, Universal, A&E, Showtime, Johnson & Johnson, HBO and BBC. His projects have earned recognition from international film and television festivals, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards, and he has worked all over the world including in the Everest Himalayas.

Brent is an alumni of the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium and a graduate of Columbia College Chicago’s School of Film and Television. He was awarded the John Cannon Presidential Scholarship from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences News and Documentary Emmy Awards.
