Brent is an American documentarian born in Indiana, lived in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois, California, and now resides in Texas. He believes strongly in a boots on the ground, hands in the dirt approach, where both compelling stories live as well as creative solutions to complex problems. An example of this was serving as a U.S. AmeriCorps member.

His body of work as a filmmaker, writer, photographer, cinematographer and editor has included collaborations with businesses, non-profits and government agencies including the National Park Service, PBS, National Geographic, U.S. Forest Service, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Warner Bros. Discovery, FOX Sports, Activision, Outside TV, Netflix, Lionsgate, SyFy, Hulu, Zumba, XBOX, Sony, Universal, A&E, Showtime, Johnson & Johnson and HBO. His projects have earned honors and awards from international film and television festivals, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards, premiered at the United Nations, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Patagonia, and he has traveled and worked all over the world including Nepal’s Everest Himalayas.

Brent is an alumni of the Telluride Film Festival Student Symposium and graduate of Columbia College Chicago’s School of Film and Television. He was awarded the John Cannon Presidential Scholarship from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences News and Documentary Emmy Awards.
