Documentary Photography and Video

AmeriCorps

I had the pleasure and honor to serve for about 1-year with a team of 12 other U.S. AmeriCorps State and National Service members with the Los Angeles-based environmental non-profit organization, TreePeople. In partnership with the State of California’s Office of the Governor, California State Parks, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service, we built and maintained trails, removed wildfire flashy fuel invasive species, surveyed over 5,000 wildfire prone coast live oak trees infested with invasive beetles, planted and cared for over 15,000 trees and led community educational events with the County and City of Los Angeles, Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Angeles National Forest and its surrounding watershed communities. These are a highlighted selection of documentary images of mine that were published for social media, website and print promotional content, educational interpretive park signs, grant reporting documentation, and U.S. Forest Service historical record keeping archives.
